Diade è composta dalla regista e scenografa Federica Amatuccio e dal compositore e sound designer Andrea Gianessi. Sperimenta l’interazione tra teatro, musica, azione performativa, spazio, immagine e suono. Al centro della ricerca c’è la relazione tra l’individuo e ciò che è altro da sé: la comunità, la natura, il potere, le istituzioni, lo spazio-tempo. 

Diade costruisce paesaggi, pratica una regia espansa, un teatro della transizione, della sfumatura. Insegue un punto di fuga rivolto verso l’esterno che conduce a una continua ricerca nel reale, ne esplora i dispositivi e le inevitabili contraddizioni. Per Diade lo spazio diventa materiale di scrittura e la parola poetica si fa paesaggio, in quanto voce, suono. È una parola che incide sul reale, che agisce.

Diade is made up of director and set designer Federica Amatuccio and composer and sound designer Andrea Gianessi. Their work explores the interplay between theatre, music, performative action, space, image and sound. At the heart of their research lies the relationship between the individual and what is other than the self: community, nature, power, institutions, space-time.

Diade builds landscapes and practises an expanded form of directing, a theatre of transition and of nuance. It pursues a vanishing point turned outward, leading to a continuous search within the real, exploring its devices and its inevitable contradictions. For Diade, space becomes a material for writing, and the poetic word becomes landscape, as voice and sound. It is a word that cuts into reality, that acts.
